Ever feel like you're living in a technicolour world while everyone else is watching in black and white? Yeah, me too. Being a "sensitive soul" often gets mistaken for weakness, but trust me, it's anything but. It's a superpower in disguise, just waiting to be unleashed.
Picture this: a constant internal slot machine of emotions, second-guessing every reaction, and oscillating between emotional meltdowns and radio silence. That was me, carrying around the scars of countless misread situations. But guess what? I stopped seeing sensitivity as a burden and started seeing it as an opportunity.



Being "too sensitive" was exhausting. But hey, turns out, I'm not alone in this emotional rollercoaster. Millions of us feel deeply, intensely, and often misunderstood.
But wait, there's good news! This sensitivity isn't a curse, it's a hidden gem waiting to be polished. ✨



Here's how I'm turning my "too muchness" into a force for good:
1. Boundaries, my BFF: Learned to say NO to energy-draining situations and YES to my needs. (Yes, sometimes I overdo it and become a hermit crab, but balance is key!)
2. Mindfulness Master: Meditation and grounding techniques became my secret weapons against emotional overwhelm. (Shoutout to Zen Meditation on Spotify – you're a lifesaver!)
3. Calm Oasis Creation: Transformed my surroundings into a haven of soothing colors, nature sounds, and decluttered spaces. (Goodbye neon pink walls, hello serenity!)
4. Sleep & Self-Care Sanctuary: Prioritized setting the mood for ultimate relaxation to recharge mind and body. (Treat yo'self!)
5. Nature's Embrace: There's a reason "forest bathing" is a thing. Immersing myself in nature calms the chaos within, reminding me that I'm just a speck in something beautiful and vast.
6. Finding My Tribe: Turns out, I'm not alone! Connecting with other sensitive souls at workshops like the one I recently attended here in Hong Kong, at Beyond Words was a game-changer. Just knowing you're not an anomaly is incredibly empowering.
7. Creativity is My Outlet: I had done an art series "How Do You Feel Today?" It was born from my desire to encourage people to express emotions freely, and it resonated with so many internationally! It reminded me that vulnerability isn't weakness, it's strength.
8. Do What Brings You Bliss: Discovered activities that calm my soul, like reading, hiking and spending time with loved ones. (Find your peace, whatever that means!)
Remember, being sensitive isn't a weakness, it's a unique strength. Embrace it, nurture it, and watch it become your superpower! ✨
